SIDS and Kids Tasmania offer the following services:

24 Hour Service

Professional workers and parent peer supporters are available to talk to families after an infant dies. Referrals can be made by contacting the society direct. Grief kits and resources are available to anyone who has lost a child.

Counselling

SIDS and Kids Tasmania provides individual, couple and on-a-need basis group counselling/or parent sessions. To make an appointment please phone during office hours.

Training

SlDS and Kids Tasmania provides training to both its professional and parent peer supporters.

Memorial Services

Two Memorial Services are normally conducted each year around Red Nose time. These services provide the opportunity for families to pay a memorial tribute to their deceased child. We also have a flower laying ceremony every year.

Monitoring

Respiration and movement sensor monitors are available for babies classed at risk. Certain requirements to obtain a monitor need to be met.
