Welcome to the Queensland SIDS organisation

The 'Reducing the Risks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Safe Sleeping Program was developed in close consultation with SIDS researchers and paediatric experts in Aistralasia and overseas.
The program provides parents, caregivers and health professionals with the latest information regarding safe sleeping practices for infants.
Program resources include a brochure, poster, cot card, frequently asked questions sheet and a scientific booklet for health professionals. These resources are distributed free of charge to
hospitals, antenatal classes, maternal and child health nurses, doctors,
child care centres and the community at large.
The campaign has evolved to become 'SIDS and Kids Safe Sleeping' campaign and is the largest non-government funded public health campaign ever established in Australia.
Since its inception in 1991, the campaign has reduced the rate of SIDS deaths by 73%, saving the lives of over 4000 babies Australia wide.
