Michelle Jewels-Parsons – Business Development Manager (SA)

With extensive fundraising experience under her belt, Michelle was appointed to the SIDS and Kids SA team as their Business Development Manager in October 2011. Previously she was the Fundraising Manager of The Mary Potter Foundation for 7 years. Her role encompasses donor relationships, communications, events, PR, Media, Fundraising, managing and leading our amazing group of volunteers, and liaising with our corporate friends! Michelle has been appointed to the National Red Nose Day Committee and is full of great ideas of how we can make the 25th Anniversary of Red Nose Day, and our 35th Birthday bigger than ever! Dorothy Crosby – Education Manager

Dorothy is the new Education Manager, and she gives presentations on Safe Sleeping Practices to Health professionals who are responsible for the care of infants and to other organisations and groups in our community. New Safe Sleeping Standards were released in October 2011 by SA Health, so it’s vital that this new standard is communicated. Kristy Aufderheide – Finance and Administration Officer

Kristy commenced with SIDS and Kids SA in early 2011 as Finance Officer. Kristy plays a vital role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Her role also includes payroll and reconcilliation of our Red Nose Day. Kristy believes her passion for her job is enhanced by working with a really great team! Our Counsellors –

Senior Counsellor Maurissa Ailion, and Counsellor Peter Papps

Senior Counsellor Maurissa and Counsellor Peter manage our counselling service, and have both been with SIDS and Kids SA since 2010. Both have significant expertise in private practice, Peter specialising in the areas of grief and loss with a family focus. Maurissa has extensive experience in crisis intervention, trauma and grief management. Working closely together many new successful initiatives have been developed and delivered to our bereaved families.
