You cannot prepare yourself for the sudden or unexpected loss of a child. The loss of one child is likely to affect at least sixty people- grandparents – friends – siblings’ – aunties -uncles. How much support, and the rate at which they receive it, is solely dependent on the key services of SIDS and Kids South Australia.

What do we do?

At SIDS and Kids South Australia, we are dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families. We provide a 24 hour, 365 days a year crisis outreach service as well as ongoing bereavement support for families and the community following the sudden and unexpected death of an infant or young child from conception to 6 years.

Our vision is simple. We deliver world class research, evidence based education and bereavement support and advocacy.
