Leave a lasting legacy to SIDS and Kids Queensland by considering a bequest.

Why make a bequest?

SIDS and Kids Queensland provides bereavement support for individuals and families who experience the loss of their baby or child during pregnancy, birth and infancy. This includes miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, sudden infant death (SIDS) and the death of a child up to 6 years of age.

Our services include one on one parent support, bereavement support groups throughout Queensland, newsletters, awareness literature, community and professional education campaigns and a 24 hour bereavement support line 1800 628 648.

These vital services are provided to those in need throughout the Queensland community and are available 24 hours a day.

How to include a gift in your will

SIDS and Kids Queensland suggest the following wording:

Option 1:

“I ________________________ give and bequeath to SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc., a registered charity (ABN 11 495 594 924) the sum of $ __________. Which I direct to be paid to SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. (with the official receipt of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. to be sufficient receipt therefore) to be applied for the purposes of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. in such a manner as the Directors may determine”.

Option 2:

“I ________________________ give and bequeath to SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc., registered charity (ABN 11 495 594 924) my property at (insert address) (or my shares, debentures, etc and describe them, eg. BHP shares) (with the official receipt of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. to be sufficient receipt therefore) to be applied for the purposes of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. in such a manner as the Directors may determine”.

Option 3:

“I ________________________ give and bequeath to SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc., a registered charity (ABN 11 495 594 924) the whole (or a specified percentage; or the residual) of my estate of whatsoever nature or kind and wheresoever situated (with the official receipt of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. to be sufficient receipt therefore) to be applied for the purposes of SIDS and Kids Queensland Inc. in such a manner as the Directors may determine”.
