Bereavement Support

Our bereavement support services are provided free of charge by professional counsellors and peer support workers.   

Support is available to families, relatives, friends and any person who has experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child regardless of cause.

      Cherished Memories Craft Group

       Feb 17th, March 16th, April 20th, May 18th, June 15th, July 20th (third friday of each month) 10am to 12pm
      All materials provided free of charge and are yours to keep. No experience nessecary and children are welcome. Come along to be part of this therapeutic and supportive group. To assist with catering and craft requirement please RSVP to Esther on 3849 7122.

      Steps to Healing walking group

      Jan 28th, Feb 25th, March 31st, April 28th, May 26th, June 30th, July 28th (last Saturday of each month) 9am to 10.30am
      Walking combined with therapy is a great way to assist with grief and healing. The group will walk for one hour and caters for all fitness levels. Bring walking shoes, a hat and a bottle of water. Coffee/tea and biscuits provided afterwards. RSVP Thursday prior.

      Grandparents Group

      March 10th, May 26th, July 14th 10am to 12pm (Saturdays)
      For any grandparent who has lost a grandchild (20 weeks gestation to 6 years) no matter how long ago. RSVP Thursday prior

      Men’s Support group

      Feb 4th, April 14th, June 2nd 10am to 12pm (Saturdays)
      A supportive environment for any men who have suffered the loss of a child (20 weeks gestation to 6 years). RSVP Thursday prior

      Manageing Grief Group

      Feb 18th, March 14th, April 11th, May 9th, June 13th, July 11th Second Wednesday of the month
      Open to all bereaved parents who would like to share their memories after the lose of their child. Any issues and topics are welcome for discussion within this supportive group setting. RSVP Monday prior.
