Health Education information including SIDS and Kids Safe Sleeping for the Hunter Region is co-ordinated from the SIDS and Kids Drop-in-Centre.

Resources include research articles, pamphlets, videos and a bereavement library, for use by parents, health professionals, students and others in the community.

Staff undertake individual and group education on topics such as the grief following the death of a child and other related bereavement information for health professionals, students, emergency service personnel and parent groups.

Contact us to arrange a guest speaker for community groups and business organisations can be provided.

Conferences and Workshops

SIDS and Kids is proud to be hosting an international conference in Sydney on 8, 9, and 10 October 2010.

The conference, “Precious lives: global collaboration in stillbirth and infant death” is the first joint conference of the International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA) and the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death (ISPID). Hosted in conjunction with the Australian and New Zealand Stillbirth Alliance (ANZSA).

Secondary Student Information PackWe Thank you for choosing SIDS and Kids as an organisation for your secondary education project. The following links will provide you with up to date information regarding SIDS and Kids Hunter Region, the services it provides and the health programs we recommend.

SIDS and Kids Hunter Region is a registered charity and receive no government funding. The organization relies totally on the community for support, fundraising activities and funds generated from Red Nose Day to enable the Association to pursue its objectives.

We invite you to make a donation to SIDS and Kids Hunter Region, which will enable the organization to provide ongoing bereavement support to families, provide health promotion programs to the community, and assist research into the cause of sudden infant death at a national level.
