George Town chips in $21K for SIDS and Kids Tasmania

A group of high school friends have made one of the biggest donations to SIDS and Kids Tasmania that the charity’s executive officer has ever seen.

Kim Kettle, Anna Delphine, Anthony Axton, Justin Donoghue and Kate Barnard handed over a $21,000 cheque to the organisation.

The funds were raised through the Red Tie Ball – a gala evening held at George Town in June that incorporated auctions.

The friends were spurred into action by news that a former school mate, Brian Rowe, had lost his daughter Amelia to SIDS at just four weeks.
