CUA and SIDS and Kids announce new partnership
CUA, Australia’s largest customer-owned financial institution, and SIDS and Kids have today announced their new corporate partnership. Both organisations will work closely to help build greater awareness of the services and activities of SIDS and Kids among local communities.
At today’s presentation, CUA’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Whitehead, commented, “SIDS and Kids is an iconic organisation in Australia and we are very proud to have the opportunity to partner with them. Their cause is one that resonates well with our staff and I am sure with our customers.
“The education SIDS and Kids provides to families and the community about safe sleeping practices, SIDS and sudden unexpected death in childhood literally saves lives and the support services they provide to many bereaved families undoubtedly saves many more. It is a privilege for CUA to work alongside them and we look forward to doing everything we can to support their invaluable efforts.”

As part of the partnership, CUA will provide financial support for the vital research and education SIDS and Kids undertakes around stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping practices and assist to encourage community donations for the annual Red Nose Day appeal. It is also offering all employees the opportunity to spend one day each year as a volunteer with SIDS and Kids.
According to Mr Whitehead, CUA will harness the enthusiasm of its staff right across its national network to actively engage customers and the broader community about the invaluable work of SIDS and Kids.
