SIDS and Kids is seeking an experienced Social Worker – Bereavement Counsellor /Educator to join our friendly and dynamic team at our Malvern office.

The successful applicant would have excellent counselling and communication skills to provide a compassionate and early response to families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a child (20 weeks gestation to 6 years of age).

The worker would provide counselling and active outreach support to families, and other extended family members affected by the death of a child. Important components of the position include telephone support, group work, home visits, some after hours on-call work and providing community education in relation to bereavement and reducing the risk of SIDS (training provided).
